Claribel Low
Claribel Low is a Senior Analyst at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) specialising in interreligious relations, religious extremism, secularism and social cohesion. Prior to her current role, she served as an Educator at Pathlight School.
As someone with a profound interest in the academic study of interreligious relations and social cohesion, Claribel holds a Master of Science in Asian Studies and a Certificate in the Comparative Study of Religions in Plural Societies (CSRP) from RSIS. During her stint as a Master’s student at RSIS, she contributed as a Student Research Analyst with the Studies in Interreligious Relations in Plural Societies (SRP) Programme where she analysed the rise of Buddhist nationalism in Southeast Asia. She also attained a Bachelor of Social Sciences with a double major in Sociology and English Language from the National University of Singapore (NUS). During her time as an undergraduate student, she interned with organisations such the Centre for Social Development Asia (CSDA), the Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations (CGIO) and Envisage Education.
Apart from her academic and professional pursuits, Claribel is also a keen and committed volunteer. She dedicates her time volunteering with organisations such as hash.peace, Youth Corps Singapore, the Rotaract Club of NUS and the Singapore International Foundation.
