Far’ain Jaafar
Far’ain Jaafar is an educator and children's book author. As a published author of six books (and counting), she is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion through anti-racist and anti-bias content in her work and publications. Far'ain is qualified in the field of education with a diploma, bachelor's degree and master's degree in early childhood education.
Beyond work, Far'ain devotes her time to promoting public health as a member of the Breastfeeding Mothers' Support Group (Singapore). She serves as a board member of the organisation, and contributes her time as a peer counsellor and trainer. She is also a volunteer and executive member of hash.peace, a youth-led group promoting social cohesion. Far’ain is actively involved in the advocacy of social cohesion in Singapore. She leads and facilitates interfaith/interracial initiatives with teenagers, youths and adults. Her interest is in exploring the promotion of social cohesion through education, younger children, and parents/families.
Far’ain is mother to a brilliant neurodiverse son, determined preschooler daughter and foster mother. Her biological children and children in her care are the drivers of her advocacy. Far’ain’s goals in life are simple - to keep reading and writing books for as long as she possibly can, to be a healthy mother to her children, and to inspire a world of good.
